The Houston 9/11 Heroes Run
|
The 4th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run was held on Saturday, September, 6th at Ellington Field in Houston. Over 3000 runners, sponsors, all military branches, Houston Police, Houston Fire personnel and local & state dignitaries gathered to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Once again, Houston held the largest 9/11 Heroes run in the world.
The 9/11 Heroes Run was formed by the Travis Manion Foundation, an organization created by the Manion family in 2007 to commemorate the loss of their son, Travis Manion, who was killed in Iraq. It has grown to an international run with over 50 events held annually and the Houston run has become the largest of them all, drawing in thousands each year.
